Day 1 Sun Arrive Melbourne : You will be met on arrival at Melbourne Airport and
transferred to your hotel by luxury car (flights to arrive prior to 6.00pm,
airfare not included). This evening enjoy a welcome drink and dinner with your
Tour Director and traveling companions, on-board the famous Colonial Tramcar
Restaurant, a 1927 tram converted to an award-winning first class restaurant. Overnight: Stamford Plaza, Melbourne,3 nights. (D)
Day 2 Mon City Sights Penguin Parade : Enjoy a morning tour of Melbourne including the Royal Botanic
Gardens, St. Paul's Cathedral, Parliament House and the Shrine of Remembrance.
This afternoon travel through the prestigious bayside suburbs of Melbourne to
Phillip Island. Visit the Koala Conservation Centre, then observe the nightly
ritual of the famous Penguin Parade, as the little penguins march up the sand to
their nesting places. Return to Melbourne late evening. (B)
Day 3 Tues: Puffing Billy Yarra Valley:
From the quaint township of Belgrave join Puffing Billy,
Australia's oldest operating steam train. Journey through the rich forests of
the Dandenong Ranges. Rejoin your coach and travel into the Yarra Valley for a
guided tour and tastings at Moet Chandon's Australian winery, Domaine Chandon.
Later, enjoy lunch and tastings at Fergusson's Winery, before returning to
Melbourne. (BL)
Day 4 Wed: Melbourne Alice Springs: You will be transferred to Melbourne Airport for your early
morning breakfast flight to Alice Springs (flights to arrive prior to 1.00pm,
airfare not included). Enjoy a tour of this unique outback town. Visit the
Telegraph Station, Royal Flying Doctor Service, School of the Air and enjoy
panoramic views of Alice Springs from Anzac Hill. Overnight: Alice Springs Resort.
Day 5 Thu: Uluru (Ayers Rock): Depart early for Ayers Rock Resort, stopping at a camel farm
where you can try your hand riding 'a ship of the desert'. This afternoon is at
leisure to enjoy the facilities at Ayers Rock Resort. Enjoy a glass of wine this
evening while watching sunset over Uluru from the special viewing area
known as the 'sunset strip'. The subtle color changes are truly amazing. Overnight: Desert Gardens Hotel,Ayers Rock Resort, 2

Day 6 Fri: Uluru (Ayers Rock) Kata Tjuta
(The Olgas): Rise early to view Uluru at sunrise. There is the
opportunity to climb to the summit (optional). Tour the caves at the base of Uluru
and hear stories of the Aboriginal Dreamtime. Later, visit the Uluru-Kata
Tjuta Cultural Centre. This afternoon travel through the desert plains to
Kata Tjuta. The size and grandeur of these 36 massive domes of
conglomerate red rock will amaze you. Take a walk to the Valley of the Winds
Lookout and gaze down the central valley. After sunset with sparkling wine,
enjoy a delicious Australian barbecue dinner and stargazing. (B) (HD)
Day 7 Sat: Uluru (Ayers Rock) Cairns
:This morning enjoy free time at Ayers Rock Resort. You will be
transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your flight to Cairns (flights anytime,
airfare not included). You will be met on arrival at Cairns Airport and
transferred to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight: The Oasis Resort, Cairns,3 nights. (B)
Day 8 Sun: Great Barrier Reef : Cruise on the Great Adventures high-speed catamaran to the
Great Barrier Reef. View the coral and fish from a semi-submersible vessel.
Snorkeling gear is included (extra charge for scuba). A marine biologist will
provide an informative presentation on this living wonder. Enjoy a buffet

Day 9 Mon: Kuranda Skyrail Tjapukai : Experience a spectacular rail journey aboard the famous
Kuranda train. Travel high into the Tablelands, through 15 tunnels and over 40
bridges to the picturesque township of Kuranda. Return to the lowlands via the
unique Skyrail Cableway high above the rainforest.
Be entertained at the renowned Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, where
legends of the Dreamtime are brought
to life. Learn about this ancient culture through theaters, stage shows and
traditional dance demonstrations. Free time this afternoon in Cairns. QFV (B)
Day 10 Tues: Cairns Sydney : You will be transferred to Cairns Airport for your flight to
Sydney (flights anytime, airfare not included). You will be met on arrival at
Sydney Airport and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at
leisure. Overnight: Four Points Sheraton Harbor View Rooms,
Sydney, 3 nights. (B)
Day 11 Wed: City Sights Harbour Cruise: This morning tour Sydney and see the Sydney Opera House,
Botanical Gardens, Mrs Macquarie's Chair and Kings Cross. Visit famous Bondi
Beach, with time to stroll along the beach, then return to the city for a Sydney
Harbour luncheon cruise. Cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge and stop at Milson's
Point to photograph fabulous views of the city skyline. Later, visit the Manly
surf beach before returning to the city. (BL)
Day 12 Thur: Blue Mountains: Visit the spectacular Blue Mountains. Stop at the Skyway and
Scenic Railway, where there is the opportunity for an optional ride. Enjoy the
views of the Three Sisters, before visiting Featherdale Wildlife Park, home to
koalas, kangaroos, wombats and many other creatures wild and wonderful. Pass
Homebush Bay, site of the 2000 Olympic Games, on return to Sydney. This evening
you may like to join an optional farewell dinner arranged by your Tour Director.

Your tour concludes this
morning after breakfast. You will be transferred to Sydney Airport to connect
