Day 1 Leave Los Angeles

Day 2 Cross the International Dateline

Day 3 Adelaide: 3-nights
You will transfer in Sydney to the domestic terminal for your flight to Adelaide. Home to over a million people, cafe society, designer shopping and a vibrant nightlife, Adelaide is a highlight of any tour. Transfer to your accommodation.

Day 4 Adelaide
Your day of touring to Kangaroo Island will include a walk amongst sea lions basking on the beach at Seal Bay. Enjoy an Australian country-style lunch before continuing to Flinders Chase National Park to see kangaroos, koalas and wallabies. (L)

Day 5 Adelaide
At leisure to explore Adelaide.

Day 6 Ghan Train. 1-night
Transfer to the Adelaide rail station to board the Ghan Train. Named after the Afghan camel drivers, this magnificent train is of great historical significance to the nation. The journey from Adelaide to Alice Springs takes 22 hours, and is truly a legendary experience to watch the vast Australian Outback unfold.

Day 7 Alice Springs.1-night
Arrive into Alice Springs and transfer to your accommodation, 1 night. This afternoon, join a tour of the Alice Springs town and its humble beginnings, with interesting and informative commentary.

Day 8 Alice Springs – Ayers Rock. 2-nights
Journey from Alice Springs to Ayers Rock and transfer to your accommodation, 2 nights. Late afternoon, travel to the Olgas. As the sun begins to dip, stroll into the grand recesses of Olgas Gorge and appreciate why the Aboriginal people found this place so important.

Day 9 Ayers Rock
This morning, enjoy a vehicle-based tour around Ayers Rock, which begins with the beauty of sunrise on the Rock. Short, guided walks take you to areas of special interest at the base of Uluru to view Aboriginal art, while the culture and creation time stories are explained. Afternoon at leisure.
